The first event, the OMBOLD x AGF Sponsor Cup, will take place on Wednesday, September 10 from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM in the parking lot next to VSK in Vejlby. This marks the tournament’s second year in Aarhus.
Participants in the sponsor cup include local companies, organizations, and associations. These teams not only contribute sponsorship funds but also field their own players, highlighting a hands-on commitment to community impact. The following day, Thursday, September 11, the De Åbne Aarhusmesterskaberne (Open Aarhus Championships) will bring together players from across Denmark to compete in a festive street soccer tournament. Taking place from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the same VSK location, the event is a powerful expression of community and solidarity for individuals in unstable living conditions.
The street soccer pitches are specially designed to cater to both veteran players and first-time participants. Beyond competing, many participants take on volunteer roles, as referees, scoreboard operators, and setup crew, allowing them to contribute meaningfully to the event’s success.
