Copenhagen is set to host an exhilarating urban sports and culture festival, Copenhagen Street Days, from September 5–7, 2025. Held at Ofelia Plads, the festival will showcase street sports, music, art, and the European Championship in 3×3 basketball. From freelance football and parkour to dance battles, musical performances and public workshops the Copenhagen Street Days promises to be a festive event.
Urban Culture Takes Center Stage at Copenhagen Street Days
From the 5th of September to the 7th, Copenhagen’s Ofelia Plads will transform into a dynamic hub of activity for the Copenhagen Street Days festival, a celebration of street sports, urban culture, and community engagement. The three-day event is expected to draw thousands of locals and international visitors eager to witness world-class athletes and performers alongside amateurs and enthusiasts.
Visitors can participate in or watch over a dozen disciplines, from freestyle football and parkour to graffiti art, dance battles, and calisthenics. The festival will feature engaging public workshops, thrilling tournaments, and high-energy performances across three main activity zones and two live stages clustered around Ofelia Plads and Sankt Annæ Plads.
Major Sports Highlight at Copenhagen Street Days: FIBA 3×3 Europe Cup 2025
The crown jewel of the event is the FIBA 3×3 Europe Cup 2025, marking the first time Denmark will host the basketball championship. A total of 24 national teams representing 17 countries will compete in this fast-paced, half-court basketball format that has surged in popularity since its Olympic debut in 2020. Both the Danish men’s and women’s national teams will compete on home soil, aiming to energize local crowds and elevate Denmark’s profile on the international basketball stage.
This segment of the festival requires a ticket for entry, while all other activities will be completely free for the public.
A Celebration of Movement and Creativity
Copenhagen Street Days is designed to be inclusive and participatory. Visitors can join open training sessions, test their skills in skateboarding or BMX biking, or discover new interests in guided workshops. Events such as the International Freestyle Cup Football, Danish Championship in Calisthenics and Street Workout, Panna House Invitationals (the unofficial world championship in panna), and scootering and mountain bike showcases bring something for every age and skill level.
The program features special kid-friendly events, including 2v2 dance battles tailored for children. For older teens and adults, 1v1 dance competitions and open rap battles will energize the evenings, creating a festive blend of music and sports that embodies Copenhagen’s urban spirit.
Making the City a Playground
One of the key goals of Copenhagen Street Days is to demonstrate the potential of urban spaces like Ofelia Plads to host large-scale, inclusive events. Organizers from Copenhagen Municipality, the Danish Basketball Association, and Sport Event Denmark hope the festival will inspire broader participation in street sports and strengthen Copenhagen’s position as a host city for major international sporting events.
Copenhagen Street Days also aligns with Visit Copenhagen’s strategy to attract tourists beyond the typical high-season months. By placing a major continental sports tournament, and music festivals, within a vibrant cultural framework, the event offers a unique experience for both residents and travelers in early September.
