Mobile App Preferences in Denmark

As technology continues to shape our daily lives, a new report from the tech company Framna—entitled the Mobile App Trends Report 2025—provides insight into the app usage habits of consumers in Denmark. Based on responses from 9,000 users and an analysis of over 600 different applications, the report highlights the most popular apps among Danish citizens.

According to the report, the app that enjoys the highest approval from Danish users is MobilePay, a widely used digital payment platform. This preference exemplifies the Danish desire for efficiency and ease in conducting everyday transactions. “We conducted an independent study focused on consumers’ mobile preferences, providing a unique insight not only into which apps are downloaded and most frequently used but also into users’ perceptions and the reasons behind them,” explains Kristian Friis, Managing Director of Framna in Denmark.

The data indicates that Danish consumers significantly favor apps that simplify their lives while also providing quality content. Beyond MobilePay, several banking applications also rank highly, with five bank apps making it onto the top 20 list. Featured prominently are Lunar, Danske Bank, and Arbejdernes Landsbank, the latter securing a top score of 82 points.

In addition to financial applications, Danes also show a preference for entertainment and wellness apps. Popular choices include the music streaming service Spotify, the meditation app Calm, and the audiobook platform Mofibo. These apps are well-regarded not only for their functionality but also for their ability to enhance users’ daily routines.

Kristian Friis emphasizes, “The most popular apps share common traits: they make everyday life easier, deliver relevant content, and provide an exceptional user experience. The combination of good design, functionality, and value creation defines which apps are preferred by Danes.”
