Danish public broadcaster DR published a quiz on Saturday about which types of porn Danes watch most. It is built on an Epinion survey carried out for DR and on Pornhub’s own figures for Danish users in 2025.
The quiz went online on August 22, 2026, on DR’s news site. DR writes that it addresses how much porn Danes watch, what they watch, and what they use it for. The broadcaster states that the questions rest on the Epinion research and on Pornhub’s 2025 data for Denmark.
DR notes that Denmark still prides itself on its liberal tradition, and that it was the first country to legalize porn. The article describes the shift from bedside sex films and magazines bought at gas stations to today’s internet supply. According to DR, that supply now spans everything from animation to gangbang.
What the Pornhub figures show
Pornhub’s Denmark insights page, dated February 3, 2026, says Denmark ranked 39th globally for traffic to the site. The average session lasted 8 minutes and 53 seconds. The page lists “danish” as the most searched term in Denmark, followed by “milf” and “dansk.”
Per the same page, the three most popular categories in Denmark were Anal, MILF and Transgender. Pornhub also reports above-global-average interest in three areas. Role Play was 189 percent higher, Fetish 141 percent higher and Red Head 130 percent higher than in the rest of the world.
Pornhub’s data also points to regional differences within Denmark. The Capital Region searched for “foot fetish” 37 percent more than other regions. The North Denmark Region watched Vintage material 87 percent more than other regions.
The Pornhub numbers have been reported elsewhere in Danish media. Presse-fotos.dk covered the same findings on March 30, 2026, naming “danish” as the top search term and “anal” as the top category. It also repeated the average visit length of 8 minutes and 53 seconds and highlighted regional differences, including that “scissoring” is more popular in the Capital Region.
Ekstra Bladet reported on Pornhub’s year-in-review data as well. According to the newspaper, “anal” was the most-viewed category in Denmark over the past year. It added that the same category ranked first in several other Nordic and European countries.
Alongside the quiz, DR points to a segment from its youth program P3 Essensen. The broadcaster writes that the program met Jonathan, aged 23, who is deeply addicted to online porn. The segment is available on P3 Essensen’s YouTube channel.
DR does not name a court ruling, deadline or political decision behind the timing of the piece. The broadcaster states only that the quiz is based on the Epinion survey conducted for DR and on Pornhub’s figures for Danish porn consumption in 2025.
