Danish rock band Dizzy Mizz Lizzy has cancelled its appearance at the concert in Kongens Have in Odense on Thursday, August 20, 2026. Illness in the band is the stated reason, and Magtens Korridorer takes its place on the bill.
The cancellation came on the day of the show. Avisen Danmark reports that the band has pulled out of the open-air concert in the Odense park. The rest of the evening goes ahead as planned.
The concert was set up as a four-act bill. A press release from Live Nation Denmark, published March 3, 2026, announced D-A-D, Dizzy Mizz Lizzy, Sort Sol and The Raveonettes for Kongens Have on August 20. The release stated that doors would open in the late afternoon and that the show was sold out.
Ekstra Bladet reports that the band was forced to cancel at short notice. According to the outlet, promoter Live Nation announced the withdrawal in an Instagram story, citing illness and wishing the band a speedy recovery.
Ekstra Bladet also cites a statement from Dizzy Mizz Lizzy. The band said it was very sorry to skip the Odense concert, and that illness had hit the Dizzy camp. BT also reports illness as the cause of the cancellation.
A replacement was found the same day. Ekstra Bladet and the music magazine GAFFA both report that Magtens Korridorer has been booked for the Kongens Have line-up in place of Dizzy Mizz Lizzy. As noted by Ekstra Bladet, the change affects roughly 25 percent of the program, while the remaining acts are unchanged.
Regional outlet Fyns Amts Avis covered the story as a local disappointment. The outlet wrote that audiences on Funen will not get to see Dizzy Mizz Lizzy in Kongens Have on August 20. Its report did not name the replacement act.
Concert listings show that the event itself continues. Live Nation’s international ticket pages, updated August 19, 2026, listed the Odense show with tickets sold through Ticketmaster. The event calendar På Plakaten listed a 5 p.m. start for the Kongens Have concert with all four original bands.
Why the cancellation came now
Ekstra Bladet attributes the timing directly to illness in the band. The outlet describes the decision as a last-minute move on the day of the concert, based on Live Nation’s own statement and the band’s comments.
The show had been on sale for months. Live Nation’s March 2026 press release confirms that the four-band concert was announced and ticketed well in advance of the August date.
