This trend is especially pronounced leading into the school autumn break, traditionally a peak travel period for Danish families. Spies reports that bookings for the weeklong break have jumped 63% compared to last year. This means that 70% of the company’s travel packages for the break are already booked. Spies expects to send approximately 11,000 travelers on 46 charter flights during this one-week period alone. Sales for Cyprus in October and November are 36% higher than in the same timeframe last year.
