The documentary “Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger” has its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on Saturday, showing how Liam and Noel Gallagher ended their long feud.

When Liam and Noel Gallagher announced a large tour in 2024, it surprised most observers. The brothers had been at odds for two decades and had not worked together for 15 years. Their reunion set off intense Oasis interest worldwide.
According to La Biennale di Venezia, the film screens on September 5 in the Venice Open Non Fiction section. It is directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace and runs 122 minutes.

As stated by Disney+, the documentary follows the Oasis Live ’25 reunion tour. It includes the first joint interviews with Liam and Noel Gallagher in more than 20 years, plus rehearsal, backstage and onstage footage.
Variety reports that Disney+ EMEA content chief Angela Jain says the brothers’ moment of reconciliation was captured on camera. A Venice preview by The Guardian notes that the film is structured by writer Steven Knight.
Film editor Jacob Ludvigsen of Soundvenue told DR he is not surprised that the festival hosts the world premiere. He said the Gallagher brothers guarantee entertainment, and that the festival also wants the attention they bring to the red carpet.
Ludvigsen also told DR that documentaries and concert films have become popular in cinemas, citing the Taylor Swift film “The Eras Tour”. He said such screenings can turn into a shared event where audiences sing along, similar to a live show.
The film was made by Disney and will eventually stream on Disney+. It first runs in cinemas, and DR reports that the Danish premiere is on September 10. Fans of the music scene in Denmark can see it from that date.
Per ABC News, a trailer released in August 2026 highlights the brothers’ long feud and their 2025 reunion tour. The same report lists IMAX early-access screenings on September 9 and a general theatrical release on September 11, before streaming later in 2026.
The premiere arrives while rumors of another Oasis concert series circulate. Asked on the program talkSPORT about a stadium tour next summer, Noel Gallagher said there is no football tournament next year, so the band has to do something that summer, according to Rolling Stone.
