Influencer, colleague killed in Vejen motorcycle crash

A 27-year-old teacher and lifestyle influencer, Camilla Erbs Dohn, has been named as one of two people killed in a motorcycle crash near Veerst in Vejen Municipality on Wednesday morning.

The flag at Vejen Friskole was flown at half-mast on Thursday. Avisen Danmark and JydskeVestkysten report that the school has confirmed losing two employees in the crash, and that parents and staff have been informed. The school did not want to comment further, as colleagues of the deceased asked for calm.

One of the victims was Camilla Erbs Dohn, a teacher at the school and a well-known influencer. She had more than 93,000 followers on Instagram and was also active on TikTok, posting about lifestyle and home interiors. Her ex-husband, Ralf Dohn, confirmed her death to JydskeVestkysten on Thursday and asked for understanding for the family. The couple have two children, aged four and five.

According to JydskeVestkysten’s information, the motorcycle ride had been given to Dohn as a birthday gift by her colleague. The colleague was the second person killed in the crash. Flowers have begun to appear at the site on Lykkegårdsvej, where the two died on Wednesday.

Police still investigating the cause

Syd- og Sønderjyllands Politi has confirmed that a man and a woman died in a motorcycle accident on Lykkegårdsvej near Veerst, northwest of Vejen. In a statement, police said relatives have been notified and that accident technicians are working to clarify the course of events. Police added that no other vehicles were involved and that there is no immediate suspicion of crime.

TV SYD also carried a short report on the accident near Veerst, stating that two people died and that police are working to establish the cause. Neither outlet named the victims.

Vejen Kommune has announced that crisis assistance is being offered at Vejen Friskole after the deaths of the two staff members. According to the municipality, school leaders and municipal crisis teams are coordinating support for pupils, parents and staff, including access to psychologists and counselors.
