Dirch Passer’s granddaughter joins Odense revue in 2027

Odense Sommerrevy has announced that actor Mathilde Passer, granddaughter of revue legend Dirch Passer, will make her revue debut in the theater’s 2027 season in Odense.

Avisen Danmark reported on August 21, 2026, that the 33-year-old actor is joining the cast of next year’s Odense Sommerrevy. It will be her first appearance on a Danish revue stage. The revue itself made the announcement.

According to Kristeligt Dagblad, the news was published on the revue’s own website. The newspaper adds that Mathilde Passer is the daughter of Josefine Passer, the youngest daughter of Dirch Passer. That makes her a direct descendant of one of Denmark’s best known revue performers.

The 2027 ensemble

Billed-Bladet reported on August 20, 2026, that the full cast for the 2027 season has now been presented. Alongside Mathilde Passer, the ensemble includes Anette Støvelbæk, Leif Maibom, Thomas Mørk and Lars Arvad. Rasmus Krogsgaard is also part of the cast and directs the production.

In its announcement, Odense Sommerrevy describes Mathilde Passer explicitly as a granddaughter of Dirch Passer, per Billed-Bladet. The revue notes that the Passer surname immediately brings back memories for many audience members. The magazine frames the casting as a return of the family name to the revue stage.

As reported by Fyens Stiftstidende, the 2027 edition continues the revue at Fruens Bøge in Odense. The newspaper writes that the 2027 lineup mixes newcomers with experienced revue performers. It also notes that the current season paid tribute to Dirch Passer.

Kristeligt Dagblad states that Mathilde Passer is a trained actor who has already worked in television and theater. The revue genre, however, is new to her. That makes the Odense production a genuine revue debut.

Why the announcement comes now

The timing follows the revue’s presentation of its complete 2027 cast, according to Billed-Bladet and Fyens Stiftstidende. Odense Sommerrevy used that announcement to introduce Mathilde Passer and highlight her connection to Dirch Passer. Kristeligt Dagblad notes that the revue revealed the news itself, as part of planning for the coming summer season.

The story has also been picked up nationally. Berlingske referred to the debut in its society section on August 21, 2026, with the family relationship as the main angle. The coverage across outlets agrees on the central facts, including her age, her family ties and the 2027 debut year.
