The Copenhagen newspaper Arbejderen has published a photo report from this year’s Nørrebro Pride, the local Pride demonstration held in Copenhagen’s Nørrebro district.
Arbejderen posted the picture series on July 27, 2026, under a headline carrying the Danish slogan “Spis de rige,” meaning “eat the rich.” The item appeared in the paper’s domestic news section and is presented as images from this year’s Nørrebro Pride.
The post consists mainly of photographs from the demonstration in Nørrebro. Arbejderen does not publish an attendance estimate or a description of the route in the item. No statements from organizers or from the police are included in the photo post.
Nørrebro Pride is a recurring event in the district, separate from the main Copenhagen Pride week. Copenhagen Pride maintains a calendar of Pride events across Denmark, which has listed Nørrebro Pride among them.
The demonstration has drawn national coverage in earlier years. According to DR, organizers said the march would be arranged in blocks of up to 50 people. DR reported that a QTIBIPOC block would walk at the front, with ally blocks behind it.
DR also reported that the associated party used strict entry rules. Per DR’s reporting, people described as white and/or heterosexual were excluded from the party, which was framed as a QTIBIPOC-only space. The rules were criticized publicly, DR noted at the time.
The event was interrupted last year. Out & About reported in August 2025 that there would be no Nørrebro Pride that year, because no volunteers had come forward to organize it. The 2026 photo post therefore follows a year without the demonstration.
The 2025 Pride guide from LGBT Danmark had listed Nørrebro Pride as expected to take place on August 16, 2025. The same guide noted that the event was cancelled that year. Denmark’s Pride calendar otherwise runs through the summer months, with Copenhagen Pride as its largest fixture.
Local setting
Nørrebro is one of Copenhagen’s most densely populated districts and a frequent site of demonstrations and street events. The area is also home to Nørrebroparken and a dense strip of bars and cafes. Questions about LGBTQ life in Denmark regularly feature in coverage of the country’s Pride season.
Arbejderen is a left-wing Danish news outlet that covers labor and social movements. Its item on the 2026 demonstration is a visual report rather than a written news story. Further details about the size and program of this year’s Nørrebro Pride have not been published by the outlet.
