Union activists from 3F Kolding demonstrated on September 10 at Lemvigh-Müller’s new logistics site in Kolding, protesting a contractor working without a collective agreement.
The protest took place at the entrance to the construction site, where the wholesaler is building a new logistics center. Arbejderen reports that the activists demanded that Lemvigh-Müller take responsibility for conditions on the site. Their central message was that there must be proper working conditions for everyone employed there.
According to Arbejderen, the demonstration was directed at a company on the site that does not have a collective agreement. 3F Kolding had also documented problems with pay and employment terms among foreign workers at the location.
The union has quantified part of the dispute. As reported by Ekstra Bladet, 3F Kolding said it had raised wage claims of more than 1.2 million kroner in connection with the case.
Czech contractor at the center of the case
JydskeVestkysten wrote on September 8, 2026 that 3F Kolding had called for a demonstration at the site. The location is Lemvigh-Müller’s coming high-bay warehouse on Nordager in Kolding.
Per the same outlet, the background to the action was the Czech company Montaze Broz. According to 3F, cited by JydskeVestkysten, the company did not want to sign a collective agreement covering its work on the site.
JydskeVestkysten described Lemvigh-Müller as a wholesale giant, and the union directed its demands at the company as the client behind the project. Arbejderen reports that the activists called on Lemvigh-Müller to answer for what happens on its own construction site.
The demonstration was announced two days in advance, according to JydskeVestkysten’s reporting on September 8, 2026. Ekstra Bladet also reported ahead of the event that a foreign company was working on the site without a collective agreement.
Arbejderen reports that the union’s documentation concerned both wages and employment conditions for the foreign employees on the site. The wage claims cited by Ekstra Bladet relate to that documentation.
